About the system
Lear’s pre-fuse box and jump-start system mounts in the engine compartment on the positive battery post. Its high-current fuses protect the vehicle’s main electrical systems from overloads. The modular assembly combines pluggable and screwable connections with molded connector headers.

Configurable high-current power distribution
Lear’s pre-fuse box is available in single-circuit and split two-circuit configurations, enabling adaptation to different low-voltage vehicle power distribution architectures. The system accommodates six MIDI fuses rated from 60 to 150 A and three MEGA fuses rated up to 500 A, providing scalable protection for high-current electrical loads. Three two-way MAK 12 connector housings and four M8 eyelet connections for cable cross-sections up to 80 mm² support multiple power and signal interfaces within a compact 266 × 92 × 74 mm package.
Designed for engine-compartment conditions, the assembly features an environmentally sealed and splash-protected housing with a laser-welded cover. A fully robotic assembly process supports consistent manufacturing quality and repeatable product performance.
