About the connector
Lear’s six-way hybrid ground connector joins several electrical lines at one grounding point. It uses standard MAK terminals with 2.8 mm and 6.3 mm tab widths. The two-part male and female housing includes connector position assurance, terminal position assurance, a connector seal and individual wire seals.
Lear’s hybrid ground connector is designed for reliable operation in wet areas and demanding automotive environments, with an application temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The compact connector mounts directly to a grounding stud and can incorporate an anti-rotation feature with an octagonal or customer-specific mounting hole. Support for wire cross-sections from 0.5 to 6 mm² and a variable number of lead-in wires enables adaptation to different vehicle grounding architectures.
