About the press-fit pins
Lear press-fit pins provide solderless connections for contact applications. Their flexible press-fit zones are available in 0.63, 0.8 and 1.2 mm sizes, with tab widths from 0.6 to 2.8 mm.
Across contact applications, the pins are designed for consistent electrical performance, simpler assembly, long-term durability and manufacturing efficiency.

Design features
Lear press-fit pins support flexible integration into printed circuit boards, power modules and busbar assemblies. Spring-shaped and Eye-of-Needle press-fit zone designs enable reliable and repeatable electrical connections, while both single-pin and mass insertion processes can be used to meet different assembly requirements.
Available tin-, silver- and nickel-plated variants help address application-specific electrical and environmental requirements. The pins can be mounted directly onto power modules or integrated into customized busbar solutions, supporting efficient connector and power distribution system designs. The connection method also allows components to be removed and reused without damaging the PCB. Components are validated against applicable automotive specifications.
