Product features
The MAK 12 EVO is a high-power terminal with extended electrical and mechanical performance. It has Ag-Ni plating for high-temperature applications and a fully protected contact area. The lamella design reduces insertion force. Lear describes outstanding power transmission due to multiple contact points provided by that design. The terminal can be unlocked with an extraction tool and is designed for sealed or unsealed applications.

High-current performance for copper and aluminum cables
The Lear MAK 12 EVO terminal provides a current-carrying capacity of up to 150 A at an ambient temperature of 80°C, with an initial contact resistance of no more than 0.30 mΩ. The terminal supports copper cables from 4 to 35 mm² and aluminum cables from 10 to 35 mm², enabling high-current connection designs for different vehicle power architectures.
The CuNiSi terminal body and stainless-steel top spring are designed for operation across a temperature range of -40°C to +170°C. The terminal supports up to 50 mating cycles and is compatible with existing MAK 12 connector cavities and ultrasonic welding equipment, helping simplify integration into established production processes.
